Abstract<\/span><\/p>

In our national perception, education is essential for all; this is fundamental to our all-round <\/span>development, material and spiritual. Education has an acculturating role. It refines sensitivities and perception that contribute to national cohesion, a scientific temper and independence of mind and spirit. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial and religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace. Since religion is one phase of \u00a0 people \u2019s culture groups of this type may be classified with ethnic minorities. Thus, Hindu are minorities in Pakistan, Muslim in India protestants in Italy, and Roman Catholics in the United States. Thus, the minorities, group of people who are held together by ties of common descent, physical characteristics, tradition, custom, language or religion or any combination of these and who in relation to some other group with which they are associated, occupy a subordinate status, receive differential treatment, and are excluded from full participation in the life and culture of the society of which they are a part. In the present work, an attempt has made to mirror the social and higher educational status of Muslim women by selecting Research topic Higher Education, policy Research and community development, A case study of Muslim female college students at Gulbarga city. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The present problem of the study entitled \u201cA sociological study of Muslim female students of degree colleges a case study of Gulbaraga city\u201d is purported to known the changing status of Muslim female in various aspects of life. Women constitute half of the human resources. Traditionally, she has has been playing a vital\u00a0 role in the family, with the emergence of the new challenges of the modern world. She is playing a vital role in obtaining economic source. From the social point of view. She does not enjoy equal status with men in general and in the Islamic world in particular, Education is the important facilitator in this regard. Hence education for women shold be given top priority and measures should be taken, improve their their ststus in India. Therefore, the basic problem of the present study can be ststed as an enquiry into the social and educational ststus of the under- graduate Muslim female students, and their attitude towards mate selection, dowery, inter-caste marriage , population control, female inheritance and their family background so on. And also it is an attempt to ascertain the opinion of respondents about reservation policy for women in professional courses, employment and poltics and also intend to know their interest in social service, their in extra-curricular activities at the college level, their interest to contest college election , their interst in exercise of franchise at general election and so on.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

First Grade College, Chittapur- 585211 Dist. kalaburagi, State Karnataka, country India.\u00a0 I like to receive and deal with challenging tasks. I am a very enthusiastic lady and I think this is a strong point of mine. My native place is Dist. kalaburagi in Karnataka, State. My Educational qualification up to 10 Bi.BiRaza high School Gulbarge, And I completed under \u2013 graduate course Bi.BiRaza women degree College,\u00a0 Kalaburagi After married I have comleted\u00a0 M.A, M.Phil, Ph.D from Gulbarga University, kalaburagi, Karnataka under the advice of my lovely teacher Dr. S.L Hiremath of\u00a0 Gulbarga University, kalaburagi. In M. Phil my Research Topic is A sociological study of Muslim female Students of Degree college \u201cA case study of Gulbarga city\u201d in 2005, And in Ph.D. degree Problems of working women in unorganized sector, A case study of Gulbarga city. in 2012. In 2009 I have appointed as a Asst. professor by the Dept. of collegiate Education of Karnataka Government, Govt. First Grade College, Modhol. Recently I am working at Sri. R.K.Govt.
