Shodh Sari – An International Multidisciplinary Journal respects the intellectual property rights of authors and the confidentiality of all information submitted to the journal. Any personal or confidential information shared with the journal is used exclusively for editorial and publishing purposes and is not disclosed to third parties except where required by law or ethical publishing standards.

Copyright Ownership

Authors publishing in Shodh Sari retain the copyright to their work.

To enable publication, dissemination, and long-term archiving of scholarly content, authors grant Shodh Sari the non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and identify itself as the original publisher of the article.

This arrangement ensures:

  • Author ownership of intellectual property

  • Wide dissemination of research

  • Compliance with open-access publishing standards

Author Rights

Authors retain the right to:

  • Retain patent, trademark, and proprietary rights associated with their research

  • Reuse their own work in future publications (books, lectures, theses, or compilations) without prior permission

Attribution Requirement

Author Declaration and Publishing Agreement

As part of the submission process, all authors are required to submit an Author Declaration / License Agreement, confirming that:

  1. The manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere

  2. All authors have made significant scholarly contributions and approve the final version

  3. The work does not infringe third-party rights or contain unlawful or defamatory content

  4. Ethical standards have been followed, including informed consent where applicable

  5. All necessary permissions for copyrighted material have been obtained

  6. The article may be published under the stated Creative Commons license

Use of Personal Data and Images

Where manuscripts include personal data, images, or identifiable information of individuals, authors confirm that:

  • All required consents have been obtained

  • Applicable laws and ethical guidelines have been followed

Third-Party Material

If third-party content is included in an article, authors must clearly indicate:

  • Source of the material

  • Licensing status

  • Permission obtained, where required

Such material may not automatically fall under the journal’s Creative Commons license.

No Additional Restrictions

No legal, technical, or digital restrictions may be applied that would limit the rights granted under the Creative Commons license.

Self-Archiving Rights

Shodh Sari – An International Multidisciplinary Journal supports the responsible dissemination of scholarly work and permits authors to self-archive their manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s open access and licensing policies.

Authors may self-archive the accepted manuscript (the final peer-reviewed version prior to copy-editing and typesetting) under the following conditions:

  • The manuscript may be deposited on:

    • The author’s personal website

    • Institutional or departmental repositories

    • Funder-mandated repositories, where applicable

  • Self-archiving is permitted one month after the official date of publication.

  • The self-archived version must clearly:

    • Acknowledge Shodh Sari – An International Multidisciplinary Journal as the original publisher

    • Include the full bibliographic citation of the published article

    • Provide a direct link to the publisher’s version of record (DOI)

  • The deposited manuscript must display the journal’s licensing terms:
    Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Version Control and Integrity

Authors are not permitted to modify, adapt, or create derivative versions of the accepted manuscript when self-archiving. The integrity and scholarly record of the work must be preserved, and no commercial reuse is allowed under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence.

The final published version (Version of Record) may be shared publicly only where permitted by the journal’s licensing policy and must not be altered or republished as a derivative work.

Compliance with Funder and Institutional Policies

Authors are advised to review their funder or institutional open access requirements prior to submission to ensure compliance. Where necessary, authors should inform the editorial office at the time of submission of any mandatory archiving obligations.

This policy is intended to:
