ICERT G-DEEP 2026: Aligning Education 5.0 Frameworks with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

International Council for Education, Research and Training (ICERT) recently concluded its G-DEEP 2026 International Conference. The milestone event brought together 740 online participants and research delegates from 11 countries to align modern higher education strategies directly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—with a targeted emphasis on SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

Climate Action & Environmental Sustainability (SDG 13)

Marking the global observance of UN World Environment Day on June 5, the conference dedicated its premier policy track to immediate, systemic environmental integration. Hosted and moderated by Vandita Sharma, the Keynote: Policy Forum & Curated Roundtable focused intensely on ‘Climate Action & Environmental Sustainability Integration in Global Curricula’.

The international panel featured Dr. Jeferd O. Saong (Former Dean, School of Engineering and Architecture, University of Baguio, Philippines), who shared insights on building sustainable regional transport engineering frameworks alongside global bodies like the UNDP, Adamu Abubakar Muhammad PhD (Lecturer, Federal University of Kashere, Gombe State, Nigeria), who advocated for moving past purely theoretical literature to fund hands-on, student-led ecological projects and Prof. Tania Gupta (Dean, School of Education, K.R. Mangalam University, India), who detailed the success of structured rural immersion models that connect curriculum-based learning with immediate local community needs.

Strategic Alignment with SDG 4 (Quality Education) & SDG 5 (Gender Equality)

During Day 2’s Special Focus Policy Panel, hosted by Ms. Harshita Panjani, the conference focused on structural equity within the Inclusion & Gender Empowerment Forum. Panelists Asliah C. Mamalampac, Ph.D. (Mindanao State University, Philippines) and Dr. Juliet F. Lalzarzoliani (Department of Economics, ICFAI University Mizoram) provided insights on ‘The Future of Work, Policy Harmonization, and Global Inclusion’.

The forum emphasized that educational institutions must actively collect disaggregated social data, create safe spaces for dialogue, and remove gender biases from curricula to prepare students for an increasingly complex global workforce.

To maintain rigorous scientific standards, the 44 peer-reviewed research papers submitted to the conference were distributed and evaluated across three structured, multi-disciplinary technical tracks:

• Technical Session 1: Led by Chair Dr. Savita Sharma (Shri Vishwakarma Skill University) and Moderator Ms. Rimmi Jain (University of Delhi), focusing sharply on digital infrastructure, institutional quality assurance (IQAC), and commerce frameworks.

• Technical Session 2 (Day 2): Directed by Chair Dr. Pushpanjali Singh (SMS, Lucknow) and Moderator Dr. Preeti Singhwal (Subharti University, Meerut), which evaluated the algorithmic impact of AI-driven platforms on young learners, e-learning readiness, and data privacy.

• Technical Session 3: Chaired by Dr. Anuradha and moderated by Dr. Nisha—both representing the MDSD College, Ambala, India—which provided a critical evaluation of computational thinking, indigenous knowledge systems, and socio-economic workforce adaptations.

Plenary Synthesis and Future Publications

The conference wrapped up with a comprehensive Plenary Synthesis & Technical Track Wrap-Up Forum. Led by Valedictory Patron Prof. (Dr) Aruna Anchal (Director, ICERT – Research, Innovation & Publications Division) and Guest of Honor Prof. Chacko Jose P, PhD (Eminent Professor of Economics, Kerala, India), the track chairs successfully mapped out cross-session consensus models.
