Abstract
Classical dance is both an art form and a holistic practice. It brings about manifold approaches to health and wellness. This paper delves into its deep impact on all aspects of health and wellness, from the physical to the mental, emotional and social, spiritual growth and the ability of classical dance to intervene in many health challenges. Classical dance enhances physical health through improved muscular strength, flexibility, posture, and cardiovascular fitness. Mentally, it sharpens focus, reduces stress, and fosters emotional resilience. Emotionally and socially, it serves as a medium for self-expression and community building, and in a spiritual sense, connects practitioners to their sense of purpose and to divinity. For the practitioner, classical dance is a lifelong journey of discovering self and well-being. Thus, it remains a powerful tool for achieving and sustaining personal and communal transformation.

Impact Statement
Research plays a pivotal role in expanding our understanding of classical dance as a multidimensional practice impacting physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. It provides scientific validation for the therapeutic benefits of classical dance, contributing to fields like dance therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation, and somatic studies. For instance, studies have shown that dance enhances neuroplasticity, emotional regulation, and stress relief, aiding in treatment for anxiety, PTSD, and cognitive decline (Hanna, 2006; Chakraborty, 2021). Research has also strengthened policy advocacy for including arts in health programs and education curricula. Moreover, it empowers practitioners and educators with evidence-based tools for integrating dance into wellness and rehabilitation contexts. By documenting lived experiences and culturally embedded practices, research also preserves traditional knowledge systems while evolving them to meet contemporary health challenges. Thus, it ensures classical dance is not merely preserved as heritage but is also actively applied to improve quality of life in diverse populations.
