Building Bridges Across Continents for Transformative Research
At the International Council for Education, Research and Training (ICERT), advocacy is not a passive ideal—it is an active commitment to reshaping the global academic landscape. The One Day International Multidisciplinary Conference on “Contemporary Global Trends and Transformations,” held on May 3, 2025, at Dewan VS Group of Institutions, Meerut, in partnership with ICERT, exemplifies this mission in action.
A Global Classroom Without Borders: With 379 registered participants—including a remarkable contingent from Nigeria alongside scholars from India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Nepal, Ethiopia, Kosovo, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, the UAE, and the United States—this conference transcended geographical and disciplinary boundaries. It transformed a single day into a vibrant corridor of ideas connecting South Asia, West Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
Interdisciplinarity as a Catalyst for Change: The conference theme—“Contemporary Global Trends and Transformations in Management, Education, Social Sciences, Sciences and Engineering”—reflects ICERT’s core conviction that the world’s most pressing challenges cannot be solved within the silos of a single discipline. From AI-driven educational reforms in Nigeria to sustainable engineering practices in India, and from gender-inclusive management strategies in Malaysia to climate-conscious policies in the UAE, the 62+ research presentations delivered actionable insights aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Recognizing Excellence, Inspiring Action: The declaration of the “Shiksha Ratan Award 2025” during the plenary session was more than a ceremonial moment—it was a reaffirmation of ICERT’s dedication to honoring those who translate knowledge into impact. These awardees join a growing community of changemakers who embody the spirit of decolonized, inclusive, and future-ready education.
The Road Forward: This conference was not an endpoint but a launchpad. It strengthened institutional partnerships between ICERT and DVSGI, opened doors for collaborative research publications in Shodh Sari, Edumania, and Eduphoria, and demonstrated that advocacy in education means creating platforms where every voice—regardless of geography, gender, or generation—can be heard.
ICERT remains steadfast in its mission to bridge the gap between policy and practice, theory and application, and ambition and action. We invite institutions, researchers, and policymakers to join us in this journey—because the future of sustainable development depends on the bridges we build today.
