International Multidisciplinary Conference 2025: Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable Future

The Teachers Training College, Bhagalpur, Bihar, India, in collaboration with the International Council for Education, Research, and Training (ICERT), India & USA, organized a One-Day International Multidisciplinary Conference on “Multidisciplinary Approaches to SDGs and Youth Empowerment for Sustainable Development” on January 12, 2025, in an online mode. The conference provided a global platform for academicians, researchers, and practitioners to explore innovative strategies to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while empowering youth to become active drivers of sustainable change.

With the participation of 688 attendees from over 17 countries and 60 research paper presentations, the conference fostered rich academic discussions and shared practical insights for policy and practice. The program featured a keynote address by Mr. Raveenthiran Vivekanantharasa (The Open University of Sri Lanka), a roundtable discussion led by Dr. Navneet Kaur, and technical sessions chaired by distinguished academicians across diverse disciplines. Mr. Saket Bihari managed the seminar as convenor of the seminar. 

The Indian Youth Icon Award 2025 was conferred upon dignitaries for their outstanding contributions to youth empowerment, reflecting the conference’s commitment to recognizing and amplifying impactful work.

Objectives of the Conference
  • To promote multidisciplinary approaches to achieving the SDGs.

  • To enhance youth engagement and empowerment in sustainable development initiatives.

  • To foster collaboration among educators, researchers, and policymakers across disciplines and geographies.

  • To generate actionable recommendations for integrating SDG principles into research, education, and community programs.

Technical Sessions

The conference hosted four dynamic technical sessions where researchers and faculty members from diverse institutions presented their innovative research aligned with SDGs and youth empowerment. These sessions provided a collaborative platform for knowledge exchange and critical discussions on multidisciplinary approaches to sustainable development.

    • Chairperson: Dr. Swarna, Assistant Professor, Department of English, I.N.M. PG College, Meerut, India

    • Coordinator: Ms. Mahak Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Science, NIILM University, Kaithal, Haryana, India

  • Fourth Technical Session

    • Chairperson: Dr. Rajiv Pal, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, NIILM University, Kaithal, Haryana, India

    • Coordinator: Ms. Bhawna Rathi, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, NIILM University, Kaithal, Haryana, India

These sessions showcased interdisciplinary research and practical strategies for integrating the SDGs into academic, policy, and community-based initiatives, further highlighting the vital role of education and research in driving youth-led sustainable development.
