Submission Guidelines

Article Submission: Shodh Sari- An International Multidisciplinary Journal is an open access journal and remain open for general submissions year-round. Faculty and researchers from different disciplines could submit their articles electronically at Submit your Manuscript or for queries write us at shodhsari@icert.org.in

Please take the time to read and follow the style and guidelines as closely as possible, as doing so will ensure your paper matches the journal’s requirements, and your paper can move through peer review, production, and publication smoothly. 

Besides the below-mentioned guidelines for research article, APA, MLA, and the Chicago Manual of Style as per discipline, is also accepted for publication.

Your paper should be written with the following elements in the following order: 

  • Title: Title should be at the top of the first page, size 14, bold, not all letters in uppercase.

  • Abstract: It should contain 250-300 words including problem statement, sample, methodology and conclusion in brief. There must be 4-5 keywords (only Keywords italic, but not bold, other words normal).

  • Main text: It must contain but not limited to introduction, materials/ tools and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments (if any) funder statement (if any), ethical statement (if needed); references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list)

  • All in text citation must be hyperlinked with the references (cross-reference).

  • Please use American/ British spelling style for English consistently throughout your manuscript. 

The word length of the paper should be between 4000-20000, however for academic work like thesis and related it could be up to 40,000, and two column text paragraphs.

Papers must be submitted in Word format/ Doc format, Paper size A4. Figures should be saved separately from the text, 1.5 space all text, 1-inch margins all around (top, bottom, left, right), recommended fonts: 11-point Calibri, 11-point Arial, 12-point Times New Roman.

Citation: APA Style

In-Text Citation (Paraphrase): (Author Surname & Author Surname, Year)

In-Text Citation (Quotation): (Author Surname & Author Surname, Year, page number)

Author Name: Begin with the surname followed by the initials of the first and middle name. Place a comma after the surname. Place a period after each initial in the first and middle name. When a work has more than one author put an ampersand (&) before the last surname. End with a period.

References: The reference number should follow the following format. For Journals Format: Authors Name (surname initials). Title of the article. Journal name, Volume number, Issue number, Year of publication, Pages number.

APA Style 7th Edition 

Journal Article: Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of the article. Name of the Periodical, volume(issue), #–#. https://doi.org/xxxx

Book: Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Copyright Year). Title of the book (7th ed.). Publisher. DOI or URL

Chapters in Edited Book: Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Copyright Year). Title of the book chapter. In A. A. Editor & B. B. Editor (Eds.), Title of the book (2nd ed., pp. #–#). Publisher. DOI or URL

About Author: Submit a brief profile of the author with latest passport size photograph on the word file/ doc file, should not exceed more than one page, try to keep it as brief as possible.

Impact Statement: Each article must be submitted with impact statement in not more than 150 words. 

Competing Interests: Authors must declare any financial or non-financial interests that could be perceived as influencing the research. All authors must include a ‘Competing Interests’ statement. If no conflict exists, authors should state: ‘The authors declare that they have no competing interests.’

Funding Statement: Transparency regarding the financial support of research is mandatory. Authors must disclose all sources of funding for their research. Please provide the name of the funding agency and the grant number. If the research received no specific grant, use the following statement: ‘This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.’

Data Availability Statement: To support transparency and reproducibility, authors must state where their data can be found. Authors are required to provide a ‘Data Availability Statement’ outlining where the data supporting their findings can be accessed (e.g., a public repository, available upon request, or included in the article). If no new data were created, state: ‘Data sharing is not applicable to this article as no new data were created or analyzed during this study.’

Ethical Approval and Consent: Required for any studies involving human participants or animals. Research involving human participants, data, or tissue must be performed in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. A statement must be included confirming that the study was approved by an appropriate institutional ethics committee and that informed consent was obtained from all participants.

Consent for License and Copyright: Upon acceptance, authors agree to publish their work under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright but grant the journal the right of first publication.”

Acknowledgments: Recognizing contributors who do not meet authorship criteria. Authors should acknowledge anyone who contributed to the research or manuscript (e.g., technical help, writing assistance, or departmental support) but does not meet the criteria for authorship. If there are no acknowledgments, this section may be omitted.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Each article published in Shodh Sari/Edumania is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) powered by Crossref. This ensures the permanent discoverability and correct citation of your research.

ORCID (Mandatory): All authors and co-authors must provide their unique ORCID iD at the time of submission. The ORCID iD must be included in the manuscript below the author’s name and affiliation.
