Impact Statement
In an era defined by the rapid mutation of digital falsehoods and the rise of AI-generated synthetic media, this research provides a vital paradigm shift from reactive debunking to proactive psychological empowerment. By framing misinformation as a cognitive pathogen, the study establishes a “Cognitive Immune System” that equips global citizens with the mental antibodies necessary to neutralize manipulation before it takes root.
The impact of this work extends beyond academic theory into the structural reform of digital literacy. It offers a scalable, content-neutral framework for educational institutions and technology platforms to foster Psychological Resilience through inoculation and metacognitive training. Ultimately, this research serves as a catalyst for safeguarding democratic discourse and public health, ensuring that the individual’s capacity for critical discernment remains the ultimate safeguard against the eroding forces of the global infodemic. By strengthening the “intellectual muscle” of the citizenry, it secures the foundational integrity of shared reality.

Abstract
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an integrative mind-body approach fusing cognitive elements with acupressure tapping to address emotional distress and physiological disturbance. Growing evidence suggests that EFT affects major biochemical pathways involved in inflammation and oxidative stress, which are fundamental to chronic illnesses and impaired detoxification processes, in addition to improving psychological well-being. This review examines the ways EFT affects the body’s biochemical environment to promote detoxification and healing. Chronic psychological stress turns on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, which results in high cortisol levels and pro-inflammatory cytokines. The inflammation and oxidative stress cause cellular damage and compromised activity of endogenous antioxidant systems including superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione. EFT could down-regulate inflammatory responses and oxidative load by controlling autonomic nervous system activity and lowering stress indicators thus normalizing the body and mind. Emerging clinical studies show drops in cortisol, C-reactive protein (CRP), and subjective stress indicators post EFT treatments, therefore pointing to a boost in systemic detoxification ability that might improve hepatic biotransformation and immune system. Using EFT, the mind-body connection provides a whole approach for encouraging biochemical resilience and supporting the body’s natural detoxification channels. Ultimately, EFT may be an easy-to-use, non-invasive addition to traditional detoxification techniques helping to achieve sustainable health and well-being. More extensive, biomarker-based study is needed to clarify molecular paths and improve EFT treatments for environmental and clinical health uses.

This research demonstrates that Nigeria’s digital divide is a critical barrier to equitable education, deeply entrenching socioeconomic disparities through teacher training. The study reveals a profound gap between urban and rural institutions, not only in access to infrastructure like internet and electricity but also in teachers’ digital literacy and self-efficacy. While urban educators leverage digital tools for structured learning, their rural counterparts, facing significant resource constraints, have developed resilient, community-based solutions using informal platforms like WhatsApp for peer support. The analysis concludes that this technological divide, which directly impacts the quality of education for the next generation, necessitates a strategic, multi-pronged policy approach that empowers existing grassroots innovations, improves foundational infrastructure, and tailors interventions to the specific, nuanced realities of each community.
