Global Goals Forum – IGMC 2024 Kathmandu
Building a Sustainable Future Through Multidisciplinary Innovation
International Council for Education, Research and Training (ICERT) recently marked a major milestone in its mission to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Indo-Global Multidisciplinary Conference (IGMC-2024), held at the Himalayan College of Management in Kathmandu, Nepal, served as a premier global forum for addressing “Recent Advancements in Education, Research, Humanities, Social Sciences, & Sciences”.
Highlights:
A Convergence of Global Minds
The forum demonstrated the power of international collaboration, bringing together 504 registered participants from 19 countries. Scholars and experts traveled from—or connected virtually from—nations including:
Asia: India, Nepal, Malaysia, Jordan, UAE, Palestinian Authority, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia, Pakistan, Oman, and Sri Lanka.
Africa: Ethiopia, Nigeria, Egypt, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Europe & Americas: USA, Italy, and Kosovo.
Academic Rigor & Knowledge Exchange
Over three intensive days, the forum facilitated 82 research presentations focused on creating actionable solutions for global challenges. Technical sessions, chaired by distinguished professors from institutions like Banaras Hindu University and Savitribai Phule Pune University, covered diverse themes from environmental sustainability to inclusive education.
Key Highlights:
Multidisciplinary Impact: Discussions ranged from “Digital Classrooms” and “Phytochemical Science” to “Social Justice” and “Inclusive Development”.
Indo-Global Adolescent Summit: A dedicated segment for youth perspectives on global issues.
Recognition of Excellence: The Indo-Global Education Excellence Awards 2024 honored 26 leaders for their distinguished contributions to education, research, and social welfare.
Publication Opportunities: Presented research is set for publication in ICERT’s international multidisciplinary journals, ensuring that the insights shared in Kathmandu reach a global academic audience.

This landmark event was made possible through the leadership of Chief Patron Dr. Navneet Kaur (Director, ICERT) and Dr. D.R. Shrestha (Chairman, HCM), along with the dedicated efforts of our organizing secretaries and convenors from across the globe.
At ICERT, we believe that achieving the UN SDGs requires a bridge between indigenous wisdom and modern research. The Kathmandu Forum has strengthened that bridge.
