Abstract

Secondary data as well as primary data have both been utilised in this study. Within the system of public education, her ideals and principles are acceptable. The current educational system has to take these viewpoints into account. The Indian educational system will benefit from this increased knowledge. Both educators and students will proceed Savitribai Phule’s example and uphold the integrity of the educational system to all social classes while educating everyone to transcend bigotry. The current educational system will be more effective as a result and contribute to maintaining its multiple levels of worth and usefulness. Impact Statement
This historical and qualitative study highlights how social reformer and educator Savitribai Phule laid the foundational framework for modern Indian education by pioneering female literacy, dismantling caste and gender barriers, and establishing progressive educational practices. By introducing revolutionary initiatives—such as night schools for working communities, early models of stipend systems, free meal initiatives, vocational training, and active learning methodologies—her work directly prefigured contemporary education policies like the Right to Education (RTE) and Mid-Day Meal schemes. The paper underscores that integrating her realistic, inclusive, and liberal feminist ideals into current curricula is vital for sustaining a democratic, equitable, and value-driven educational system in modern India
